Kurt P. Widmaier, partner with Russo, Karl, Widmaier and Cordano, PLLC, has been a member of the firm for over 20 years. Mr. Widmaier began his legal career with the firm in 1985.

Mr. Widmaier concentrates in the area of estate planning and heads the firm's Trust, Estates, and Elder Law divisions. He provides counsel on all aspects of estate planning, administration, as well as Medicaid analysis and Surrogate Court proceedings. He also acts as a court appointed guardian to protect the interest of infants and incapacitated individuals.

Kurt is the Co-Chairman of the Suffolk County Surrogate's Court Committee, a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and NYSBA Trusts and Estates Division. He lectures frequently on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Asset Protection and the drafting of Wills and a variety of Trusts and all forms of Irrevocable Trusts. Mr. Widmaier and his staff are dedicated to making sure that our clients truly enjoy their "Golden Years".

Kurt has lived on Long Island his entire life and currently lives in E. Northport with his wife and three children.
