Our Labor and Employment Law practice concerns all labor, employment and employee benefits matters. Our attorneys provide general counseling, planning, and advise to clients as well as represent them in litigation in both state and federal courts, before administrative and quasi-judicial agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the Suffolk County Division of Human Rights, and in arbitrations. Our Law Firm represents corporations, not-for-profit corporations, and individual employees. Our attorneys are experienced in handling the vast range of employment-related issues that occur on a daily basis, including, but not limited to:

  • Providing counseling and training with regard to sexual harassment; wage and hour issues; the Family Medical Leave Act; HIPPA compliance; compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act; audits concerning compliance with federal and state employment laws; and the disciplining of employees
  • Conducting investigations concerning sexual harassment and all forms of discrimination
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of Employee Handbooks
  • Providing general advice and counseling with regard to employment policies, employee handbooks, proper employment practices, pre-employment applications, employee discipline, executive compensation/employee benefits matters, and avoidance of employment discrimination claims
  • Litigating employment discrimination matters; wrongful terminations; violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act; breach of contract and employment tort claims; disciplinary proceedings; and grievance arbitrations
  • Negotiating employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, non-compete agreements, and separation/severance agreements
